Get Ready for The Nutcracker

Strong National Museum of Play
Featuring performers from the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and Rochester City Ballet – 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm
 Join us for a magical day of storytelling, dance, and live music!
• Rochester City Ballet company members, dressed as Drosselmeyer, The Sugar Plum Fairy,or Clara, read the story of The Nutcracker and demonstrate a few graceful moves (12:00 noon and 2:00 p.m.)
• RPO musicians perform selections from The Nutcracker and explain how Tchaikovsky’s beloved music ties into the ballet and classic story (RPO String Quartet, 1:00 p.m.; RPO Brass Quintet, 3:00 p.m.)
• Make a Nutcracker-inspired craft
